RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT READ BEFORE SIGNING

IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to participate in this rifle tournament on the premises of or under the auspices of _______________________________ Club, on my behalf or on behalf of the participant named above if participant is a minor (we will collectively call ourselves “I” in this release) I acknowledge, appreciate and agree that:
  1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this tournament is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis or death. This risk includes, but is not limited to, my being in the presence of and/or using firearms and includes but is not limited to property damage, injury, or death resulting from the dangers or conditions that are an inherent risk of firearms activity.

  2. By signing this RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, I UNDERSTAND AND KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE CARELESSNESS, RECKLESS, NEGLIGENCE OR LEGAL LIABILITY of those persons released from liability below, and assume full responsibility for my participation. I understand that there may be other risks, as well, and I agree to assume them; I am not relying on the above named club to list all possible risks for me.

  3. I feel that the possible benefits to myself in this rifle tournament are greater than the risks assumed.

  4. I, ___________________________________ do hereby, intending to be legally bound, for myself on behalf of my heirs and assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, remise, release, quit-claim, and forever discharge and by the Presents do release quit claim discharge for themselves, their Heirs, Executors, Administrators, Successors, or Assigns, do hereby remise, release, quit-claim and forever discharge the club named above, their heirs, Executors, Administrators, Successors, or Assigns, and every of them, of and from all, and all manner of action and actions, cause and causes of action and actions, suits, debts, dues, duties, sum and sums of money, account, reckonings, bonds, bills, specialties, covenants, contracts, agreements, promises, variances, damages, judgments, extents, executions, claims, and demands, whatsoever, in law or equity, or otherwise howsoever, which against the said named Club ever had, now have, or which their heirs, Executors, Administrators, Successors, or Assigns, hereafter can, shall or may have, for upon, or by reason of
    any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, from the beginning of the world to the day of the date of these Presents; and especially for, upon or by virtue of my participation in this rifle tournament conducted by said Club and registered by the International Benchrest Shooters Corporation.

  5. I, _______________________________________do hereby, intending to be legally bound, for myself on behalf of my heirs and assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, remise, release, quit-claim, and forever discharge and by the Presents do release quit claim discharge for themselves, their Heirs, Executors, Administrators, Successors, or Assigns, do hereby remise, release, quit-claim and forever discharge the International Benchrest Shooters Corporation, a not for profit corporation, along with their officers and officials, their heirs, Executors, Administrators, Successors, or Assigns, and every of them, of and from all, and all manner of action and actions, cause and causes of action and actions, suits, debts, dues, duties, sum and sums of money, account, reckonings, bonds, bills, specialties, covenants, contracts, agreements, promises, variances, damages, judgments, extents, executions, claims, and demands, whatsoever, in law or equity, or
    otherwise howsoever, which against the said International Benchrest Shooters Corporation ever had, now have, or which their heirs, Executors, Administrators, Successors, or Assigns, hereafter can, shall or may have, for upon, or by reason of any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, from the beginning of the world to the day of the date of these Presents; and especially for, upon or by virtue of my participation in this rifle tournament conducted by said Club and registered by the International Benchrest Shooters Corporation.

  6. I also acknowledge that I have access to the International Benchrest Shooters rules and that I have read and understand the rules. I further state that I am able to hear and understand the commands of the Range Officer on the firing line. I understand that if I am not able to hear the commands or can not understand the commands that I must have a personal assistant appointed by me that will be with me on the firing line to communicate range commands to me. I understand the personal assistant can not be a competitor on the same relay on which I am competing. This release shall be valid starting from date executed for as long as participant either (1) participates in any activities
    associated with or (2) is on or near the premises of the above Club. If participant is a minor, Parent or Guardian executes this agreement on behalf of himself/herself as well as the minor child or legal ward. (Minors will be required to complete a new form at age 18 or upon change of guardianship.)
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I
HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT OR COERCION
BY ANYONE.
